AccessibilityParking Guidance
Wolverhampton
We have a car park at the rear of the Practice, accessed off Clarendon Street. We kindly ask you to only park in the spaces directly behind the practice, and not to park next door (beyond the brick wall) as this may result in you getting locked in the gates.
There is also some street parking along the side of the practice. Some parts of the road have parking restrictions so please check any signs when parking.
We are also less than a 5 minute walk from parking around the West Park if you fancy a short walk.
Codsall
We have a car park in front of the building for clients. We kindly ask that you leave the access drive alongside the building free, and do not park behind the building.
Kingswinford
We have a car park in front of the building for clients.
Shifnal
There is parking in front of the practice and down the side of the practice. You can also park in the larger car park behind the practice.
Special Assistance Protocol
This protocol serves the purpose of outlining the processes and procedures for dealing with clients that may have requirements for special assistance for attending the practice, or for whom visiting the practice may not be possible
• A poster is displayed in reception making clients aware that if they have any specific requirements for assistance then they can speak to a member of the team, who can help them.
• If a client has made the practice aware of needing assistance, a memo is put on the client record so that any member of the team dealing with the client is made aware. For example, those with extra communication needs.
• A sign is displayed on the car park to indicate the disabled access point into the practice.
• Information regarding special assistance is displayed on the practice website.
• Communication specific to an appointment is to be added into the ‘notes’ section of the booking so that the attending clinician is aware. For example ‘client waiting in car, needs help bringing patient in’.
• Home visits can be discussed with clients for whom attending the practice would not be possible.
• All information pertaining to special assistance is treated in confidence and within GDRP requirements.
